WITH the sun shining overhead at Emerald Golf Club last Saturday, your correspondent (15) celebrated his new handicap by winning A Grade and overall with 46 stableford points.
Riley Stevens (19) pressed hard to lower his handicap with a win in B Grade with 42 points, while David Mackey (28) hit his straps after a lay-off to win C Grade with 40 points.
Wayne Degering had 42 points, Travis Gerbes 40, Mark Starick 39 and David Aitken 37. Con Ferrari was nearest the pin on the fourth, Brian Crawford the seventh, Darryl White the 12th, and Fuller the 13th. Peter Stevens pocketed the pro pin cash on the 18th.
Davina Harvey continued to dominate the women’s competitions by winning again from Jessica Marsh. Peter Clowes (19) won Wednesday’s Outrageously Fiddly Golf (OFG) using OFG handicaps with 47 points from Bouncer Holland (13) on 42.
Next Saturday players pair up to compete in the A and S Wee trophy, a 4BBB format game. The top eight pairs will qualify for the Emerald Cup, a match-play knock-out affair.
