BRUCE and Janette Argyle’s move to the Yarra Valley in 2004 was very much about lifestyle … and making the most of opportunities.
To say they embraced their ‘tree change’ with gusto is an understatement.
Argyles Yarra Valley now offers luxury town and country B&B-style accommodation, magnificent boutique wines from their own vineyard, and the Aveda day spa experience, café and trendy clothing shop in the heart of Healesville.
The day spa services in particular are about healthy lifestyles.
“It is great to see examples of the strengthening of regional renewal within the community two and a half years after the bushfires with initiatives such as the Not the Archies community art project and the continuation of the wellness vouchers,” said Bruce.
The wellness vouchers are an initiative of the Yarra Valley Practitioners Program that provide access to a broad range of alternative therapies and treatments. The success of the program has prompted the YVPP to extend the life of the vouchers.
As an organisation with qualified staff having private health insurance provider number Argyles Yarra Valley is able to offer a range of therapies and treatments to contribute to good health, for example remedial massage and beauty therapy.
“Our day spa services are about being proactive in promoting good health and general well-being as part of healthy lifestyles,” said Janette, a qualified remedial therapist with more than 10 years’ experience who oversees the day spa.
“This is as much about prevention of negative health issues and these services are growing – helped by the introduction of our local loyalty program,” she said.
Products and services focus on healthy living and lifestyle with healthy local food options in the cafe and clothing and lifestyle products manufactured in environmentally sustainable ways.
“We stock the full range of Aveda products – using naturally derived ingredients and enabling us to think about beauty and good health while also thinking about our environment,” Bruce said.
The day spa is open seven days a week from 10am to 5pm in winter, but you can enjoy a warm up with a coffee from the café a little earlier.
“Visitors can enjoy a coffee at the cafe or browse through our lifestyle store before moving upstairs to the day spa with its four private treatment rooms, one of which features the amazing neo-cocoon.” Janette said.
Argyles Yarra Valley is at 314 Maroondah Highway in Healesville and visitors are encouraged to make an appointment to avoid disappointment.
