Police call for help to nab thieves

By Emma Schenk
HEALESVILLE police are calling for any information that can help them solve a series of thefts throughout July.
Stolen goods include a set of golf clubs valued at $1700, taken at about 10.30am on 28 July from a trailer parked at the rear of the Healesville Coles car park; a custom built Jet Ski trailer stolen overnight on 22 July at an industrial yard in Hunter Street; and two easily identifiable statues at the Mt Rael restaurant on 21 July.
During the weekend of 27-28 July, vandals entered a construction area of the Healesville Secondary College and caused over $2000 worth of damage to the toilet systems.
Police are concerned this is an act of local youths.
Another incident occurred on 23 July when a thief broke into a blue Kia sedan parked at See Lovers lookout in Healesville. Once inside they stole a distinctive brown, pink and yellow overnight bag which contained a quantity of ladies clothing.
Investigations continue into these crimes and anyone with information is asked to call the Healesville Police Station on 5962 4422.
