A kangaroo in Healesville has been euthanised by Vets for Compassion after being spotted with a gunshot wound to the face.
Vets for Compassion put a call out on Facebook on Wednesday 22 October after it was last seen trying to drink from a puddle but unable to.
Vets for Compassion rescuers searched during the day but were unable to locate him, so asked Healesville residents to keep an eye out and report any sightings as soon as possible.
By the evening, the kangaroo had been found and humanely euthanised.
