Greens get better of the weather

OLD bowlers never die … they just weather well!
Bowling was the only game in town on Saturday with other sporting events, including Healesville Racing Club’s Derby Day meeting, washed out after days of almost non-stop spring rain.
Healesville 1 was rained off at Blackburn, but Healesville 2 took to the greens and was rewarded with a 98 to 60 win against Blackburn North.
It was ‘game on’ also at Yarra Junction where the greens held up beautifully and the home side walked away with a 14 to 4 victory over Boronia – 103 ends to 86.
