Abandoned car didn’t go far

KINGLAKE police are calling for witnesses to a single-vehicle car crash in Toolangi in the early hours of Friday morning, 28 October.
Sgt Ken MacDonald said the Mazda 2 was abandoned after the driver crashed it into the embankment on the Chum Creek Road just out of Toolangi, sometime between midnight and 3am.
Sgt MacDonald said police have spoken to the owner of the car, a 23-year-old Badger Creek woman, and were continuing their investigations into the circumstances of the crash.
The car was reported to police at about 8am.
