April was great for the ducks!

KEITH Thomas reports that Warburton’s rainfall for April was particularly good.
“We received 160mm which is well in excess of our average of 105.1mm.
“For the first four months of the year we have had 338mm which is almost on par with our average of 340.8mm,” he said.
In Healesville, Frank Foxcroft recorded a total of 108mm, well above his 42 year average recording of 76.8mm.
“This is the highest April recording for 10 years, when I had 172.7mm,” Mr Foxcroft said.
“This April’s total has only been exceeded six times in the last 42 years, with 1974 having the highest with 198mm, while 1988 produced only 20mm.
Mr Thomas said despite the good rainfall, Melbourne’s dams continue to diminish and now hold only 884,451m.ltr, 49.88 per cent of capacity.
