Lollies from sweet Dolly

HEALESVILLE Sweet Shop’s Dolly at a loss for words? No, not really.
Dolly muses that she and Wally are still just recovering from Mother’s Day.
They’re looking forward to the rest of the year, casting their eyes over the shop and making plans.
“It’s not so easy, darlings, finding something new to please and delight you,” Dolly said.
“At the moment we’ve got those lovely, handmade Israel lights – a sort of drip-free candle, double-walled glass pots with genuine flowers – when the light is finished, you’ve got a lovely pot to do whatever you want with.
“The possibilities are only limited by the imagination – wonderful gifts or to spoil yourself and your family. They’re magical on a dinner table or mantelpiece.
“We’ve got a range of lovely autumnish, winterish lights, mugs and serving ware just the thing to make these dreary nights so cosy. Russ, of course, for quality.
“And there’s the Robert Gordon range that fits so wonderfully in the hand, some of his l’Amour pieces, and his new range, off-centre cups.”
All this is only a taste. Jane, Dolly and the team are constantly perusing catalogues, talking to sales representatives and surfing the web. “All for you, darlings,” Dolly said.
“There are more delights slouching in, so keep on looking and enjoying. After all, browsers are most welcome. You need somewhere to delight your eye.”
Healesville Sweet Shop’s gift and toy range is constantly being renewed. Currently, they’ve got Raggedy Anne and Andy in collectible boxed format with certificates.
“All gifts are a little bit special. Some of them are not available elsewhere in the Yarra Valley. The hot chocolate packages and special coffees are an opportunity to experience healthy, exclusive taste delights,” Dolly said.
“And, darlings, coincidentally, they are organic, largely hand-processed and free trade. For your sweet and chocolate weekend, we have chocolate-scented candles, chocolate body paint, bath products and skin creams.”
The stock at Healesville Sweet Shop is ever-changing, but the quality never changes.
The shop stocks fresh chocolates, sweets, candy, wonderful cuddly and visually engaging toys, interesting and original gifts.
“Come see, because we regularly bring in something new. We love to see you and we love to serve you. Come browse,” Dolly said.
“Our latest is a range of Australian soft toys.
“Come and have a look, ladies and gents and kids. Good old Dolly is battlin’ away for you.”
