REG Gorman, one of the last generation of Australian vaudevillians, will be treading the boards at Warburton during Senior Citizens Week.
Mr Gorman had started to make his mark on the stage when television came on the scene.
In vaudeville, he was billed as the Atomic Comic. In television he is best known for his lovable character Jack the barman in The Sullivans.
Mr Gorman has worked constantly appearing in musicals and pantos, serious plays, vaudeville and music hall shows, more than 100 film and television shows and as a stand-up comedian.
From his professional debut in 1954 when he was hailed as the freshest young comic in variety, to The Last Great Vaudeville Show in 2001 when he was hailed a national treasure, Mr Gorman has made people laugh.
The show, at the Upper Yarra Arts Centre in Warburton on Thursday, 5 October, will be a great trip down memory lane for older audience members and an inspiration for people of all ages.
