THE UPPER Yarra RSL in Yarra Junction has welcomed a new chef to help turn out its exciting range of dining options.
Skye Brabazon recently joined the kitchen staff and is gearing up for a busy festive season alongside head chef Tyrone McKenzie.
Skye and Tyrone proudly offer daytime diners a Super Special of the Day, available for lunch from Monday to Friday except on public holidays.
“We also have a seniors menu seven days a week for lunch and dinner,” Tyrone said.
“Seniors who purchase a main meal from this menu at lunchtime from Monday to Friday receive a complimentary soup or dessert of the day.”
Service, affiliate and social members of the Upper Yarra RSL sub-branch also have a special deal tailor-made for them.
“Thursday night is members night, so we are offering our full members a discount off our specials menu prices on presentation of their current membership card,” Tyrone said.
The sub-branch also serves a range of light meals and snacks at lunchtime including a selection of delicious home made desserts and freshly ground espresso.
The regular menu features a range of pasta dishes, side orders, chicken and fish dishes, a children’s menu and an extensive wine list with a selection of Yarra Valley wines.
The venue is now taking bookings for Christmas functions and end of year parties.
The Bistro is open from noon to 2pm and for dinner from 5.30pm until 8pm, seven days a week. Bookings are essential on 5967 1771, and visitors are welcome.
