AS ONE tradition comes to an end, another will begin in the Upper Yarra.
After 40 years of presenting Christmas Carols in Warburton, the Warburton Advancement League has joined with the River Valley Church to stage the Carols evening at Millgrove.
“The River Valley Church supplied the program, musicians and artists for last year’s Carols at the Water Wheel in Warburton in partnership with the League and it was a very professional and entertaining event,” said League president Jesse James.
He said the League recognised some people may be disappointed that there would be no carols in Warburton this year but that the League felt it should support the neighbouring Millgrove community and celebrate the spirit of Christmas with them.
The Carols will be held at Millwarra Primary School on Sunday, 18 December commencing at 8pm.
“Everybody is welcome to this event and we are hoping to see lots of Warburton people there,” Mr James said.
