Clubs battle it out on the pitch

ON A beautiful day to bat Healesville Cricket Club’s Under 16 A batted first and did not take advantage of the conditions. A mixture of poor shots and a couple of good balls and they were all out for a poor score of 68.
M. Taite (26) top scored but needed to get 50 after a good start. The bowling effort was better but Healesville bowled too many wides and no balls with such a small score to defend. Yarra Junction are 6/62 in reply.
Under 14 A
Yarra Junction won the toss and sent Healesville in to bat. The decision was wise as Healesville were soon in trouble for 4/22. Nathaniel Harabe and Luke Cambell only steadied the ship to be 3/64. Nathaniel went on to make 59. Nigel Wilkes contributed with a quick 31 including a massive 6. Jamie Oakley bowled well for Yarra Junction to take 3/21.
