HEALESVILLE mother of two Lisa Fraser has been literally left holding the baby after her six-month-old daughter Sophie’s pram was stolen.
Ms Fraser left the pram and a hot-pink booster seat on the front porch of her Maroondah Highway home when she returned on Sunday night.
The next morning both were gone.
Ms Fraser said she is usually very diligent about taking them inside but had come home late, went straight in to get dinner and forgot to take them in.
She told the Mail she was shocked to think someone had come up to the house and just taken things, which were so obviously important to her family.
“Five-year-old Teaneil is starting school next week and we were planning to walk to school each day, but now that’s impossible,” she said.
Ms Fraser said the black Valco three-wheel pram and distinctive pink booster seat, valued at about $350, could not be readily seen from the road and she believes the culprit is most likely someone walking by.
“I am just hoping someone might know where they are and can let the police know … or that whoever took them might have some conscience and return them,” Ms Fraser said.
Anyone with information can contact Healesville Police on 5962 4422.
