Silvan in trouble

SILVAN seem to be trouble at the Warburton Cricket Ground as the holiday weekend saw the commencement of Round 11 in the Strachan Shield in the Yarra Valley Cricket Association.
Warburton-Millgrove were dismissed for just 127 with Luke Darwall on 38 the best with the bat. Silvan’s Mark Appleby grabbed great figures with 5/8.
However, in reply though Silvan are 5/51 with Appleby at the crease on 13 not out. Darwall had figures of 3/19.
Coldstream travelled to Woori Yallock and following the toss were at the crease. The inning was led by Brent Summers on 47, John Pignataro on 32 and Nathan Cuthbertson on 30 to post 164 for the home side.
Andrew Sharp bowled well taking 4/63.
Seville hosted Yarra Junction who made first use of the crease and at stumps were 259.
The innings was a Lever family dominant scorebook with Ben Lever on 74, Dave Lever on 50 and Dan Lever on 36, while for Seville, Dean Troyahn took 6/70.
Healesville were all out for 238 at Mount Evelyn with S. James on 58, Tyson Carruthers on 45, Aaron Smith on 61.
Shane Luck took 4/100 and Ian Llewellyn 3/36 in reply.
At stumps, Mount Evelyn is in trouble at 4/50, Brad Jones 14 not out.
Wandin are 1/14 at stumps at home in reply to Yarra Panthers’ 234 with Koole 48, Derham 58, Wayne Ross 4/45 and Gary Frankovic 3/48.
In the R. A. Finger Trophy, Healesville could only manage 160 at Queens Park with Jason Kerr 33 and Richard Maile 28 being the best while Mount Evelyn’s Burke took 6/47 in reply.
Mt Evelyn is 0/56 with Brad Darvel 33 not out.
Wandin headed to Wickham’s Road Oval and batted first before being dismissed for 139 with Leigh Selkrig on 57, Alan Oxley on 39, Wadsworth 5/17 against Launching Place United 1/37.
At Yarra Junction, the home side batted first after being sent in and were all out for 128 with Stuart Thompson 26 not out, Rob Henerson 5/47 and Paul Dicello 2/35.
In reply, Seville is in some trouble at 7/76 and Paul Dicello 25, Terry Ottrey 3/17, Stuart Thompson 2/22 and Daz Lever 2/9.
At Gruyere, Woori Yallock reached 210 before being dismissed with R. Steggles on 53. Gruyere Districts in reply are 0/11.
In the last match in this grade, Warburton-Millgrove completed their innings with 170 runs on the board led by Ben Hanson with 49, while Jeff Crew took 4/30 for Hoddles Creek, which is yet to bat.
