Smith ton spurs on Woori Yallock

JULIAN Smith slammed a ton as Woori Yallock got the better of Yarra Panthers in the Yarra Valley Cricket Association’s round 13 which concluded on Saturday ending the home and away series of matches.
The next stage is the semi finals which gets under way this coming weekend.
Woori Yallock scored 6/317cc with Julian Smith notching 115 as the Yarra Panthers were all out for 204 as Max Cleminson scored more runs in a steady season with 67 not out while Damian Ryan took 4 for 38.
Seville having 4/354 on the board dismissed Coldstream for 240, Scott Reece 75, and Price 48 not out, being the best scores in the innings as Seville found a new spin king in Scott Rackham, who took a career best senior haul of 6 for 74.
Warburton 207 (B. Hanson 54, L. Darwall 53, B. Slater 3/27, B. Chandler 3/27) defeated Healesville 146 (Alan Pearce 31) as Michael Walker continued another steady season with 5 for 33.
Wandin with 8/306 in the book from day one only needed to bowl steadily to hold out Mount Evelyn. They did just that as Mount Evelyn were all out for 264 (Brad Jones 60, Chris Morrow 58 not out) with Leigh Selkrig taking 4 for 103.
Silvan concluded their season with a moral boosting victory over Yarra Junction who were all out for 90 (Dan Lever 34, Jason Lovell 5/19). Silvan scored 150 (M. De Jager 43, Nathan Fall 4 for 17, James Rogers 3 for 19).
In the R A Finger Trophy competition, Mount Evelyn 273 defeated Wandin 216 (Steve McIntyre 50, Bayliss 41, Hills 40) while for Mount Evelyn Bailey took 4 for 65.
Seville were always going to have trouble defending 114 from play on day one as Gruyere Districts powered on to 8 for 402 at stumps on day two (Dave Hopkinson 117).
Launching Place United 221 lost to Woori Yallock 238 (Adam Whitworth 73, Callum Ferguson 40, Colin Voigt 3 for 37).
Warburton-Millgrove 52 and 3/69 (Dan Rogers 8/28) lost to Healesville 6/406decl as the brothers Maile completed a fine double with Richard 105 and Will 103.
Yarra Junction 174 and 8/77 (Hawkins 46) lost outright to Hoddles Creek 5/279dec Jeremy Derix 70.
