THE Yarra Valley was the site of a number of incidents over the Christmas and new year period.
Healesville CFA captain Graeme Bates said fire crews were called to a report of an explosion in the vicinity of Chum Creek Road, Chum Creek at 1am on Sunday, 25 December but found nothing.
Crews were called to a grass fire on Wednesday, 28 December and, two days later, a power pole in Healesville caught fire in the heat.
