INNOVATIVE designs from some of some of the world’s fashion hot-spots, and Healesville, went on show to a sell-out audience at the RACV Healesville Country Club on Friday night.
In a fashion-first for the town, Karen Valle of kg on maroondah and Jacinta Birchall of Black Cat Boutique put on a spectacular show of top-name spring and summer fashions available in Healesville.
Local models – of all shapes, sizes and vintages – strutted their stuff with a sense of fun and style in sensationally collated outfits ranging from casual to formal wear with a few specially chosen outfits to inspire a splurge in the lead up to Melbourne Cup Day.
For those in the audience who hadn’t seen the work of local designer Nina Cadzow, the show highlighted yet another example of exceptional creative talent and craftsmanship at work in the Yarra Valley.
Ms Birchall and Ms Valle said the event was a great success and there was talk on the night of making it an annual – if not bi-annual event.
