Thieves steal trailers

By Dion Teasdale
THIEVES took off with $4500 worth of trailers and equipment from a private residence in Don Road, Healesville, last week.
Police Sergeant Tony Van Gorp said the offenders stole two trailers, a ride-on mower, a generator and a toolbox between 10pm on Saturday, 14 October and 7am on Sunday, 15 October.
He said one of the trailers could be easily recognised.
“The trailer, with registration number Q03866, is very distinct. It is blue and grey and is damaged at the rear,” he said.
Sgt Van Gorp said the second trailer was a 5 x 8 box trailer.
“These brazen thieves also got away with a Honda generator, an older model Rover ride-on mower and a tool box with assorted tools,” he said.
Sgt Van Gorp urged anyone with information to phone Healesville police on 5962 4422.
“They have gone out of their way, coming up a long driveway to access a concealed property, to get these goods.”
