THE arrival in Australia of the Integrale tillage machinery has sparked excitement among farmers.
Made by Concept Perugini in Italy, the high productivity implement which uses an innovative combination of ridge tines, spring tines and rollers will be launched in Victoria at the Field Days by Kooweerup company Motorcolt Machinery.
The Integrale’s claim to fame is its speed and it’s simplicity.
It covers ground extremely quickly, produces fine tilth seedbeds from stubble or fallow ground – and all without a PTO shaft or a gearbox!
The result is a fine seedbed in just one pass in very short time while tillage costs are reduced to a minimum.
Terry Evans and Ray Cullen of Motorcolt will be at the show and just try to stop them from sharing their enthusiasm for their latest machinery discovery.
Between them the men represent nearly a century of experience in farm machinery distribution and marketing, farming and rural business.
They know a good thing when they see it.
“Performing multiple actions with just one pass, the Integrale has the potential to significantly boost field and labour productivity which also optimises timliness of planting,” Mr Evans said.
He said the machine had attracted close interest from potato and other vegetable growers for seedbed preparation and from livestock farmers for renovation, especially where they are working with heavier, clay-based soils.
The only adjustments available, or needed, on the Integrale, he said, are related to the relative working depths and aggression of the four tillage elements.
“We recognise that other companies have attempted to achieve a similar tillage combination, but believe none has surpassed the Integrale’s performance and none can approach the Integrale’s value for money,” Mr Evans said.
“This machine is astonishingly simple in concept and its benefits for farmers are clear, so we’re not surprised at the reaction its arrival in Australia is generating – although farmers are hugely surprised at the competitive price because there are no expensive shafts, gearboxes or bearings.”
The Integrale is one of the ‘must-see’ attractions at this year’s Wandin-Silvan Field Days.
