Block on key bridge move

BRIDGE 3799 committee members will meet on Sunday, 23 April in Warburton to discuss the future direction of the group.
Retiring chair Nancy Seeger told the Mail two annual general meetings had been held to elect a committee but neither attracted the 30 people needed for a quorum.
“We notified every member for AGM and in the end, we even dragged people off the street, but still had only about 12 people,” a disillusioned Ms Seeger said last week.
“We were all told to come back with another three people for the second meeting the next week and still only managed to get about 27 people.”
Ms Seeger said it was the founding members of Bridge 3799 who wanted to see some closure to their involvement.
“If there is no quorum this time, they then would want to see some sort of finish and feel like they have fulfilled some purpose rather than have it all just peeter out,” she said.
The meeting is on Sunday, 23 April at 1pm at the Upper Yarra Arts Centre.
