THE Eagles paid the price for underestimating their opposition. The Olinda-Ferny Creek team was psyched up for the contest, while the Junction boys expected to win. Olinda-Ferny Creek won the match by 10 points, and for the Eagles it was a lesson to be learned.

Healesville 25.22.172 d Gembrook-Cockatoo 1.2.8.
HEALESVILLE’S focus was on the style of game they needed to play rather than the result. They wanted to create some run and some unselfish and disciplined football, which they did. Led up front by Andy who competed hard and was rewarded with nine majors, everyone contributed when it was required. Excellent performances from Steve Pitto, who worked extra hard at ground level for his best game of the season. A pleasing team result.

Wesburn 16.10.106 d Yarra Glen 5.5.35.
A GREAT team effort after starting the game superbly. Wesburn displayed good sportsmanship and focused on the ball. Congratulations to Tom Kelly who played his 100th game.
