YARRA Junction were dismissed for just 65 against ladder leaders Warburton with only Kevin Bomford (26) putting up any show of resistance in the YVCA.
Youngster Clinch took 4 for 20 assisted by the older spinning fingers of Adam Humphries 2/15 and pace of Luke Darwall with 3/8.
In reply, Warburton-Millgrove were 1 for 88 in their second innings at stumps with D. Ward not out on 46.
Healesville, with 208 on the board, needed to bowl well to keep Seville under that score on a fast oval at Queens Park, Seville started well and finished the day in a similar fashion with a score of 3 for 256cc.
Craig Atkins scored 75, Richard Dicello was 70 not out while Allan Pearce with 2/46 was the best of the Healesville wicket-takers.
Silvan with just 165 on the board were looking at a long day in the field against second placed Mt Evelyn, which proved to be the case as they piled on a massive score of 518 on the super fast oval, with three century makers in Chris Doyle (111 not out), Brad Jones (110) and Luke Jones (106) for Silvan Lovell took 3/74.
Coldstream were in a similar position to Silvan with only 130 in the book last weekend Wandin batted the day to be 9/359cc. Gary Frankovic following on from his eight wicket haul last week made a fine 103 not out assisted by Wayne Ross with 83 and Jason Rowe 65.
The Coldstream bowling was led by R. Scott with 3 for 53 and Liam Doughty 4 for 90.
Yarra Panthers needed a win to make the four and were after Woori Yallock’s 327 for 7 but they could not reach that target, being dismissed for 240.
Max Cleminson led the way with 69 while veteran spinner John Ferguson took 5 for 52 in what has been reported as his final match, as he said he would now retire, but many people feel he will once again pull on the creams for another season come October.
Semi finals matches will see First vs Fourth and Second vs Third on the ladders, the venues unknown at time of this report.
