A GREAT four quarters of football with a strong defence in the first quarter keeping Mt. Evelyn to 1 goal 3 points. This set Healesville’s forwards up in the second quarter with the wind. The fourth quarter was a nail biter toward the end but the strength and commitment from the complete team brought home a great win.

Healesville 11.9.75 def Wandin 2.2.14

ON A cold and windy day at Wandin the Healesville under 12s were able to adapt well to the conditions. Michael Davern continued his good form at full forward marking anything that came to him and he kicked well with three goals for the day. The back line again were effective giving Wandin few scoring opportunities.

AFTER four quarters of dominating the play Healesville finished 5 points down. A disappointing loss.

A GOOD percentage boosting win in extremely blustery conditions. Although Healesville were inaccurate at goal, they maintained excellent forward pressure all day and their backline held strong keeping Wandin scoreless in the second half.

WESBURN played to a game plan and stuck to it well. The onballers ran all day and the back line pushed forward resulting in a good victory.

A TOP team effort in a game dominated by a huge blustery wind. Making sure they were always first to the ball, Wesburn scrambled, shoved and pushed to get the ball forward often enough to kick a winning score. Congratulations to Jayden Elliott on playing his 50th game.

A DETERMINED first quarter defending against the strong wind set up an opportunity for a victory. Croydon North fought just as hard in the second to keep the lead and increase their lead to 15 points at the last change.

PLAYING at Olinda in a strong wind, Yarra Glen got off to a good start, kicking five straight goals. To Olinda’s credit they held Yarra Glen for the next two quarters.

Woori played South Belgrave away and lost their second game for the season. South Belgrave had teamwork and discipline.

A MATCH played in very windy conditions. Woori played as a team and a good win resulted.
