Old message of modern ailments

EXIT Theatre and Adrian Mulraney present a one-man show The Plague, based on a famous French novel by Albert Camus, translated and adapted by Colin Duckworth.
The show, originally staged in Stork Hotel in Melbourne in August this year, was a great success and received applause from The Age.
The Plague discusses basic human reactions and behaviours in the face of danger, death and hatred.
“For Albert Camus the story of Plague is an allegory of the Nazi occupation of France,” said director Alex Pinder.
“But for me, it is as relevant today as when it was written nearly 60 years ago.
“It could be about AIDS, terrorism, poverty, global warming, the Middle East conflict.”
The show opens at Fluid Lounge in Healesville at 7.30pm on Friday, 9 November.
The show will be performed at 2.30pm and 7.30pm on Saturday 10 November and at 4pm Sunday 11 November. Tickets $10 / $15. For bookings and information call 5962 1717.
