AN 18-YEAR-OLD Seville man who rammed a police vehicle is to be charged on summons with conduct endangering persons.
Police investigating what turned out to be an incident in Yarra Junction attempted to intercept a car driven by the man in the early hours of Sunday morning, 19 August but the car sped off.
“Basically, the young driver didn’t want to be spoken to or intercepted and thought he could outrun the police four-wheel drive,” said Senior Constable Tony Pagels of Warburton Police.
“The driver ended up hitting the Yarra Junction police 4WD in Wickhams Road and continued to drive off,” he said.
The driver later presented himself to police.
