Popular sanctuary for diners

SANCTUARY House in Healesville has become a real sanctuary to Yarra Valley residents and visitors.
Since opening the spacious and elegant restaurant, bar and beer garden seven months ago, owners Sam and Helen Halim have provided thousands of guests with a new concept in hospitality.
Guests can choose from elegant indoor dining or enjoy a more casual outdoors dining experience in the beer garden, which looks out on 10 acres of natural bushland, and landscaped gardens.
A playground adjacent to the restaurant makes Sanctuary House Restaurant an ideal family venue.
Sam and Helen are delighted with the new menu, which is also proving popular with guests.
“Our executive chef, Antoine Cheron and his team have created our menu which features Australian, Thai, European and Mediterranean cuisine,” Sam said.
There are also delicious and nutritious menus for vegetarians and for children.
Sam and Helen are proud of the level of service and the quality of food and wine provided at Sanctuary House.
“Our staff provide great hospitality and personalised service to ensure that every dining experience is a memorable one.”
The wine list features a good selection of about 15 Yarra Valley and interstate wines, all at reasonable prices.
Christmas Day lunch is almost booked out – a good indication of the popularity Sanctuary House is enjoying – so anyone wanting to book for that special day will need to be quick!
Christmas Day entertainment will be provided by talented pianist Albert Storti.
Now is the time to book for pre-Christmas functions, birthdays, family reunions and special, romantic weddings at Sanctuary House Receptions.
Bookings are also being taken for Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve. Live entertainment will add to the festive atmosphere for these special nights.
Sam and Helen are very pleased to announce that, in response to many requests, the restaurant is now open six days a week – Tuesday to Sunday for lunch and dinner.
