Snapshots of a life found

GREG Chapman is hoping to reunite precious memories with the people who created them.
The Healesville resident stumbled across a Hanimex projector and cartridge filled with 35mm slides when cleaning out his garage.
“My kids bought the projector from a garage sale a few years ago but it doesn’t work and we’ve never used it,” he said.
“I came across it again when I was cleaning up recently and was going to ditch it, but then I realised there was a bunch of slides in the cartridge.”
Mr Chapman said the cartridge contains 30 colour 35mm slides, possibly dating back to the late 1970s or early 1980s.
“Most of the slides are photographs taken of a garden wedding. There are shots of the wedding party, of a bride and groom with a priest, and pictures of a wedding reception,” he said.
“There’s also a handful of slides which look like they could be from a honeymoon in New Zealand.
Mr Chapman said he was keen to reunite the slides with the family captured in the images.
“They might be someone’s precious family memories and I don’t want to just throw them out. I’m hoping someone will recognise them and they can be reunited with the pictures,” he said.
Mr Chapman said he was fascinated to know the story of the family behind the slides.
“I wonder who these people are. Did they get married in Healesville? Did they honeymoon in New Zealand? Where are they now?” he said.
