When it pays to be fresh

By Dion Teasdale
FOR the past two years Woori Yallock Fruit Supply has been supplying the Yarra Valley with an impressive range of fresh fruit, vegetables and delicatessen items.
Proprietors Josephine and Paul Calabro pride themselves on the shop’s extensive range of fresh produce, which they source from local producers and the Footscray markets.
“We have the best fresh fruit and vegetables in the Yarra Valley in terms of range and quality,” Josephine said.
“The shop is always packed with high quality produce at competitive prices.”
The shop stocks everything you need when you are doing your weekly shopping, and also has a range of gourmet and luxury delicatessen items for special occasions.
In addition to fruit and vegetables, the shop sells fresh flowers, organic bread, pure honey, free-range eggs and assorted nuts and dried fruit.
Other delicatessen highlights include homemade biscuits, handmade pastas, confectionery and a selection of sauces and oils.
“We also make our own fresh fruit salad and coleslaw which we keep in the fridge with our range of cold drinks,” Josephine said.
“We can cater salads for parties, we supply produce to local restaurants and hotels, and we also have weekly specials to keep our customers coming back.”
Josephine said she enjoys the relationship she and Paul have with the local community.
“Over the past two years we’ve developed strong relationships with our customers who come from right across the Yarra Valley,” she said.
Woori Yallock Fruit Supply is open seven day a week from 7.30am to 6pm.
