Batsmen spur Warburton march

U16: An improved batting performance saw Warburton reach 3/144 off 25 overs. J. Lewis top-scored with a brilliant 51 n.o. and was well supported by D. Hajder 19, T. Kelly 19 and J. Jones 19 n.o. In reply, Marysville ran out of batsmen to be dismissed for 137. C. Tiller 68 n.o. batted superbly. G. Morris bowled well taking 3/27. Good luck in the finals.
U14: In reply to Warburton’s 9/172 (R. Ryam-Corbett 44 n.o and B. Carr 42), Kinglake were dismissed for 101 with A. Griffiths 30 and A. Franklin 26 Kinglake’s best batsmen. I. Andueza took 3/13 in a great effort. In the second innings Warburton finished on 1/62 with R. Ryan-Corbett finishing off a great game scoring 25.

U16: Healesville 1st innings 6/89 v Hoddles Creek 1st innings 5/144 in a one-dayer. Hoddles Creek batted first and made 5/144. Healesville chased and lost a couple of early wickets setting the team back but batted out the game. Best: T. Featherstone 2/5, J, Baker 39 n.o.
U16: Healesville A 6/119 (20) cc v Woori Yallock B (17). Healesville batted in a one day game and batted well to get 119 off 20 overs. Ash Davies continued his good form with 51 n.o. Best: A. Davies 51 n.o. and 2/8, D. Rogers 2/4.
U14: Healesville A 9/238 v Healesville B 10/170. The teams had been looking forward to an in-house game. Healesville A won the toss and made 238. Sam O’Brien top scored with 48 n.o. Michael Davern retired on 43. Travis Damrow took 3/27. The B’s were all out for 170 after some good batting by Alex Turner who was 63 n.o. Travis Damrow made 41 n.o. The best of the bowling was Luke Campbell-Drury who took 3/12. Best players T Damrow 41 n.o. & 3/27 A Turner 63 n.o. S O’Brien 48 n.o. L Campbell-Drury 3/12.
U12A: Healesville Red 7/175 off 37 overs v Warburton. Healesville won the toss and batted on a warm windy morning and amassed a score of 7/175 off 37 overs. A great team performance capped by excellent performances from pat Sanders 32ret and supported by Mitch Baker 18 Mat Kellalea 15 fergus Bunn 15 Brad Coon 15 n.o. and Jason Savage 12.
U12A: Seville 5/148 (S Kennedy 31 n.o. T Page 30 n.o. T Hinds 30 n.o R Hyde 1/14) v Healesville White. Seville won the toss and batted. Seville batted well against some very ordinary bowling and dropped catches. If it wasn’t for a generally very good fielding performance it might have been worse. We will need a good batting effort next week.
U10 – February 24: Healesville 9/103 (D Senior 15 L Daly 13 L Whittingham 2/5 off 2 overs v Marysville 8/98 (L Nilson 18n.o. H Bates 8 L Eisen 2/7 off 2 overs). Healesville won the toss and chose to bowl. Lenny Eisen was great with 2/7 (2 overs) and Jaaz Tobias-Quigle taking a great caught and bowled. All fielders and bowlers worked brilliantly in the field. Ella Bilton-Gough did some great wicket keeping. Marysville had their turn and were just as brilliant in the field. With 14 players each side, runs (apart from over the top) were hard to come by. A fantastic performance by both sides.
U10 – March 3: Healesville 9/108 (L. Daly 20, J. Tobias-Quigle 12 n.o., J. Wilson 2/11) v Mt Evelyn 8/85 (C. Argentino 15, T Gates 11 n.o. T Heffernan 2/7 1 over). Mt Evelyn won the toss and elected to bowl. All our players contributed with the bat. Liam Daly top scored with 20 and Jaaz Tobias-Quigle with 12 n.o. Healesville then took to the field and all contributed well with the bowling and fielding. Jaaz was once again outstanding as wicketkeeper. Well done to Healesville with a 23 run win. A special mention to Dale Senior and Ella Bilton-Gough for playing on Mt Evelyn’s team.
