SPIRITUAL healing in many forms has been a vocation and a passion for Karen Bernabo for more than a decade.
A practitioner and teacher, Karen has studied all things metaphysical for the past 11 years, gaining certificates in the classes she takes – psychic development, tarot reading, reiki, spiritual healing, chakra balancing, colour and sound healing, crystal healing, ear candling and numerology.
Recognised as a teacher, she is registered with the International Council of Spiritualists as Rainbow Bridge Spiritual Healing Sanctuary.
Karen said everyone is intuitive and can learn how to use their intuition to develop it into mediumship through sitting in a psychic development circle.
“Guided meditation helps to gently awaken each person’s intuition more into mediumship to receive messages from spirit,” she explains.
Intuition is also integral to tarot cards, with students taught about the symbology of the cards to do readings.
Karen said reiki is similar to spiritual healing as both use the highest energy in the universe. “Reiki has attunements using symbols while spiritual healing utilises a spirit guide to direct the person’s hands where they are needed,” she said.
Chakra balancing puts the body back into equilibrium so that a deeper healing can take place. Colour and sound healing are used in conjunction with either reiki energy or spirit healing, as is crystal healing, which uses different crystals to energise and help restore natural balance.
Ear candling, an ancient remedy, is gaining recognition, according to Karen, for its effectiveness in assisting to alleviate a range of problems including sinus, headaches, earaches, migraines and fungal problems.
Through numerology, Karen teaches how to do name and birth charts, reveal your personality and karma – even what your house number means.
Karen offers readings and healings in all the above areas as well as regressions therapy and Horstmann technique.
Classes are held at her home studio and in community houses and centres.
Nurturing the creative side, Karen also takes craft classes, specialising in glass painting and paper tole.
