WARBURTON’S Winterfest is set to become a battlefield this year. But, it’s all good, according to Winterfest president Sue Mann.
The battlefield will be the stage of the Mechanics Institute Hall, the weapons drums, guitars and the song-writing talents of some of the Yarra Valley’s up-and-coming musicians.
The Winterfest Battle of the Bands will provide local bands with the opportunity to play in front of a live audience, win great prizes and the chance to go on to the Freeza Push Start Battle series.
The competition is open to bands made up of people aged from 12 to 25 in the Upper Yarra and Healesville areas. Entries close on Friday 9 May and the big battle will be held on Friday 20 June.
