DE JAH Groove has won over a legion of fans from Brunswick Street to Byron Bay, Bondi to Birmingham. Now it’s Healesville’s turn to go back to the groove.
De Jah Groove, a six piece band, whose answer to the world’s worries is dance, love, music, laughter … is the final offering of the 2008 Live Music @ memo Hall series of concerts.
The series that stated with Tongue n Groove in July and attracted a sell-out and then some Archie Roach concert in August followed with the Mestizo music of San Lazaro and the African beat of Afro Mandinko.
Born out of Melbourne’s live music scene a couple of years ago, De Jah Groove is an addictive combination of rock and roots delivered with blazing horns, explosive percussion, rhythmic drum and bass and rocking guitars.
Sit back and relax is hardly the message De Jah Groove will bring to the Memo Hall on Saturday night, 15 November, more like “let your feet do the talking”.
Tickets are available at the door or book on 5966 5040.
