CONSTABLE T. Bear has joined Healesville’s crime-fighting team.
Pictured with Sergeant Tony van Gorp, the bear has joined the Criminal Investigation Unit (CIU).
“Detective” Constable T. Bear is available from Healesville Police Station from this week.
Sgt van Gorp also welcomed Buff the police dog puppy into the ranks.
The new soft toy members are part of this year’s fundraising efforts for the Blue Ribbon Foundation to raise money to build new and improved emergency facilities in Victorian public hospitals.
So far, over the past nine years, 12 hospitals have been renovated and named after officers who have been killed in the line of duty.
The bears and puppies will be on sale at police stations throughout Victoria for $45 and $24 respectively.
