Pipeline taps local traffic input

LOCAL knowledge will be used by the Sugarloaf Pipeline Alliance to help manage increased traffic along the pipeline route.
Project director for the Alliance Rod Clifford said some temporary inconvenience would be unavoidable but that safety would be the prime focus.
“Whether it’s actual construction or the movement of trucks through towns, safety is our number one priority on all aspects of this project,” Mr Clifford said.
“The pipeline is one of the biggest infrastructure projects happening in Victoria, so a temporary spike in traffic moving equipment and materials is inevitable.
“We’ve established a local liaison group as a forum to identify and manage traffic associated with the project.”
