KNOX little athletes have again dominated the regional championships, raking in 80 more medals than their nearest rivals.
Almost 1000 athletes from the 13 Eastern Metropolitan Region little athletics centres competed at Knox Athletics Centre on 20 and 21 February to qualify for this month’s state championships.
Knox was again the highest performing centre with 156 medals, including 55 gold, 52 silver and 49 bronze.
The Lilydale/Yarra Ranges centre ranked 7th with 39 medals, including 13 gold.
Sherbrooke athletes won 10 medals, and Cockatoo scored three.
The state championships will be held at Olympic Park on 20 and 21 March.
