Junior footy results

AFTER a slow start the Brookers started playing as a team and got themselves back in the game. Scores were close all game but Emerald eventually ran away with the game.

Goals: A. Moore 6, M. Nelson, L. Burden, J. Kennedy, B. Shatz, C. Moffett.
Best: A. Moore, J. Bardwell, M. Nelson, M. Dalgleish, J. Blackhurst, C. Pollard, C. Moffett, L. Burden.

@BT Sport Sub Mail:UNDER 15

IT WAS a slightly better result for the Brookers than the last time the two teams met but a lack of accountability and hard work allowed Emerald to run all over Gembrook-Cockatoo.
Scores: Emerald 15.11 (101) d Gembrook Cockatoo 1.0 (6)
Best: C. Jacobson, M. Wills, C. Sawyer, Z. Hollands, B. Porter, J. Jensen, B. Moore.

@BT Sport Sub Mail:UNDER 14

IT WAS a close, hard contest for two-and-a-half quarters until Emerald kicked away. The Brookers’ turnovers and a lack of tackling let them down.
Scores: Emerald 13.11 (89) d Gembrook Cockatoo 5.7 (37)
Best: M. Wills, S. Lopez, T. Quirk, J. Williams-Spry, B. Moore, J. Dalgleish, J. McMahon, J. Kendall, C. Gluyas.

@BT Sport Sub Mail:UNDER 13

THE Brookers failed to apply pressure to a team that was far more committed, which gave the Bombers a free run through the midfield. The Brookers had a handful of players putting in but had too many passengers.
Scores: Emerald 15.12 (102) d Gembrook Cockatoo 1.1 (7)
Goals: M. Smulders.

@BT Sport Sub Mail:UNDER 12

A FAST and more determined opponent got on top in the first two quarters but to Gembrook’s credit it applied more pressure and started running more for the second half.
Scores: Emerald 4.4 (28) d Gembrook Cockatoo 2.2 (14)
Goals: L. Frazetto, B. Reid.
Best: J. Volta, S. McCormack, A. Quirk, J. Brockfield, B. Sharlott, S. Hilder, L. O’Brien, J. Berry, J. Jensen.

@BT Sport Sub Mail:UNDER 11

THE scoreboard did not represent the work Gembrook-Cockatoo put in. The intensity for the ball and tackling rate was second to none. If the team had not backed off in the third, the result might have been different.
Scores: Emerald 4.8 (32) d Gembrook Cockatoo 1.2 (8)
