HEALESVILLE police are keen to hear from anyone who has information about three burglaries in Healesville on Thursday night, 22 April, or in the early hours of the next morning.
Senior Constable Matt McGuinnis said two retail shops in Healesville’s East End, and the Le Pine Funeral Home at the other end of the town had windows and doors smashed in with an amount of cash being stolen from each location.
It is believed the same offenders were responsible for all three break-ins.
Sen Const McGuinnis said the investigations, particularly with the East End locations, may have benefited from public CCTV coverage.
He said CCTV coverage provided through community action in other townships had proved useful in either deterring or identifying criminal behaviour.
Anyone with information can contact Healesville Police on 5962 4422.
Log truck again
ANOTHER log truck turn-over on the Black Spur held traffic up for several hours last Friday. Police from Yarra Glen and from the Traffic Management Unit managed the crash site on a sharp left-hand bend about five kilometres east of Maroondah Dam.
Police at the scene said the truck was travelling towards Healeville about noon when the load shifted causing the truck to overturn. No other vehicles were involved and there were no injuries.
Decamped
