CHUM Creek Primary School has cooked up a great fundraiser – Chum Creek Cuisine.
The idea for the cook book evolved following the Black Saturday bushfires.
A feature of the book, in addition to a great selection of recipes, is the artwork created especially for the project by the students.
“The school community compiled the recipes in the book and the illustrations as a positive initiative,” said Janet Hayes, a parent involved in the project.
The parents’ club put out a call for family recipes and got a great response.
Add colourful artwork and you have all the ingredients for a book which not only reflects the tastes of the local community, but is a positive and useful fundraiser.
Chum Creek Cuisine was launched with an exhibition of artwork earlier this month.
Limited copies are available for $15 from the school. Phone 5962 5391.
