WANDIN hosted Gembrook Cockatoo in what turned out to be an exciting encounter in the YVMDFNL A Grade’s first division.
Although the two teams both started off well and were neck and neck throughout most of the game, the home side eventually pulled away to bring home the four points, 38-17.
With Mount Evelyn playing like a unit and dominating every part of the court and with deadly accurate goalers it was no wonder Woori Yallock suffered a 19-98 loss against the reigning premiers.
Upwey Tecoma needed something to boost its confidence having lost its past two games, and winning in a tight one against Monbulk was just what it was looking for.
Precise passing was crucial and it was an exciting match to watch, but the Monbulk let the win get away and lost 39-42.
Heading up to Healesville, Warburton Millgrove needed to boost its chances of moving further up the ladder.
But it met an excellent and in-form Healesville side and lost 33-41.

YEA travelled to Alexandra to kick off round 12 and continued its domination of the competition, defeating the home side comfortably, 40-22.
Its shooters were unstoppable and its defenders immovable: Alexandra was simply no match for Yea’s court dominance.
Yarra Junction hosted Thornton Eildon in what was to be a comfortable victory for the home side.
With its defence standing strong and its centre court players moving freely throughout the court, Yarra Junction won 48-26.
Seville once again proved it was a force to be reckoned with come September. Seville d Belgrave 60-21.
The Powelltown defenders held Kinglake’s goalers to just 10 in their match. It won 66-10, with its goalers accurate no matter where they shot from.
Emerald at home won comfortably against Yarra Glen, 56-29.
Yarra Glen was no match with the home team shooting accurately, its centre court players passing precisely and its defenders conceding no ground.
