HEALESVILLE Tennis Club is looking for some missing minute books and flags as they prepare to launch an official history of the club.
The club was established in 1889 and has played an important continuous role in the fabric of Healesville.
“Some of our memorabilia is missing, some official minute books from way back and some odd flags,” said club president Kathy Cameron.
“They might be tucked away in someone’s house and the club would be grateful to receive any items … no questions asked!” she said.
The club is also looking for anecdotes and photos.
“Our active veteran member and local historian Bryn Jones is assembling data for the book and we would love to have more anecdotes from the 1950s, 60s, 70s and 80s,” Ms Cameron said.
Anyone who can help could call 5962 3639 or email president@healesvilletc.org.au or write to Healesville Tennis Club, PO Box 586, Healesville. 3777.
A launch date of May next year has been set and pre-publication orders are being taken for the limited print-run of 100 copies.
