IT MAY be widely known that Swedish bicycles can be bought at The Mud Factory in Healesville but recently another Swedish product, Thule Roof Racks, has been added to the range.
“For some time now we have been selling Thule bicycle carriers so it was a natural progression to stock Thule roof racks as well,” said co-owner Gregg Franz.
“Fitting roof racks to your vehicle is an easy way to gain extra load carrying ability, especially for those difficult items like bicycles, kayaks, surfboards, ladders, pipes or timber.
“You can carry those things inside your car but that often means having to take out baby seats, fold seats down and risk damaging the interior of your car,” he said.
“If you can carry loads on your roof safely and easily it makes sense, especially if you have to carry passengers at the same time.” Thule has been making roof racks since 1962 and their range of products has grown to cover most load carrying problems.
“They test all their products extensively to make sure they can not only cope with loads placed on them but also by those events that happen accidentally in life,” Mr Franz said.
“They are also tested in different environments including varying temperatures, humidity and UV exposure so they can cope with our harsh conditions.”
