IT WAS a welcome sight to see players take the field on the weekend after the previous two weeks were abandoned because of the wet weather.
But once again rain shortened play. Monbulk’s firsts, seconds and thirds started two-day games, which will continue next week, and the fourths’ one-day game was washed out.
Each Monbulk team that took to the field found itself in a winning position after the day’s play. The highlight of the day belonged to Dave Williams who scored his first century and is on 116 not out in the thirds.
