THE Yarra Valley Arts Council is taking bookings for its 2011 Summer School of Art and Music.
The summer school is a highlight of the Yarra Valley calendar and offers a unique range of art and music workshops for children and adults.
Among the more than 20 workshops planned for this summer’s program are pastel, watercolour, expressive figure drawing, digital photography and monoprinting, voice, string and wind, felting, crochet and jewellery as well as the Arts for Kids program.
One of the enduring attractions of the school is the calibre of the professional artists and musicians selected to lead each class.
The relaxed, environment and excellent facilities available at Healesville Primary School where the majority of workshops are held, and of St Brigid’s Primary School over the road, where the Arts for Kids program is held, make the summer school a great holiday experience.
The 18th summer school will be held from Monday 10 to Friday 14 January with classes running between 9am and 3pm.
The YVAC is taking bookings now.
