A feast on the screen

The store has more than 6000 DVD titles to tantalise the cinematic tastebuds of any film critic.
Customers have their pick from all the latest new releases to old-time family favourites.
The shop changed owners in June last year and when the opportunity came up Alison and Halit Dajlan grabbed it.
“I’d been working there for three years and loved the shop,” Alison said.
DVDs are sold ex-rental, which Alison said was a good way to buy them at a cheap price.
“They’re all cleaned and repaired before going out for sale,” she said.
Leading Edge has a wide variety of movies from sci-fi, to comedies, documentaries, action, drama, thrillers and horror films.
Alison and Halit are looking at expanding the CD area over the next 12 months to bring a greater variety of music to the shop.
“We already have the top 40 chart albums and two racks with a variety of CDs for $9.95,” she said.
For the snack hungry there is a range of movie favourites such as jaffas, malteasers, snakes, and pods.
Customers can rent two new releases and get a free weekly for $11, and the children’s favourite is seven weekly movies for $14.
Feel free to quiz the friendly staff on their movie knowledge, and they can recommend their favourite films if you’re stuck for ideas.
