CELEBRATIONS will take place across the shire on Australia Day with entertainment and fun for all the family.
Wandin North Rotary Club will hold an Australia Day breakfast with entertainment at the Wandin North Community Hall from 7am. Bookings and inquiries on 0433 174 298.
Mont De Lancey Historic Homestead in Wandin North will host the Shire of Yarra Ranges’ celebrations from 10am.
The homestead will be open all day – and there will be lots of fun activities for the children. Marysville will hold a parade at 11.30am at Murchison Street and Lions Park.
The official ceremony at noon will be followed by a “Mad Hatter’s Tea Party” with entertainment. Toolangi and Castella will hold their ceremony at 60 Campbells Creek Road, Castella, between 1pm and 9pm with the themed boat race “Henley on the Yarra” at 4pm. High tea will be served at 5pm.
Kinglake District Services Centre will hold an 8am breakfast before the official ceremony.
