PINK was screaming out from the sports ground on Saturday 7 May, when the Yarra Junction Football and Netball Club raised more than $1000 for breast cancer.
The Yarra Junction club held their Think Pink Day to raise money for the Breast Cancer Network Australia.
The netballers put away the green and gold uniform for the week, and chose to wear pink tops, pink arm bands and played with a pink netball.
They decorated the courts in pink, with balloons, streamers and a pink banner that read: “At Yarra Junction, we tackle breast cancer head on.”
The footballers also got into the spirit by wearing pink armbands and the lines on the ground were marked in pink.
After the A Grade netball game, a pink afternoon tea was held in the clubrooms where lots of Yarra Junction women turned up, as well as several from the opposing team, Belgrave.
