At peace among the trees

YARRA Junction’s long-established caravan park offers residents a friendly atmosphere with a community feel.
Britannia Ridge Caravan Park is set in a quiet, leafy area by the Little Yarra River, and offers long-term accommodation from basic cabins to fully self-contained units.
Manager Craig Jenkins said there was a real sense of community among the residents, many of whom were long-term tenants.
“The cabins are being constantly updated to provide comfort, security and privacy for all residents,” he said.
“We’ve had several new additions including a barbecue area and new landscaping provided by Kaz Garden Services of Wesburn.”
Craig said some cabins had been upgraded with undercover verandahs, while others had new cooking facilities and TV antennas.
“Soon five cabins will receive new split-system air-conditioners with more to be upgraded shortly,” he said.
With a variety of wildlife including wombats, koalas and kangaroos and many bird species, Britannia Ridge Caravan Park provides a tranquil setting at an affordable price for a range of budgets.
Accommodation ranges from basic caravans with annexes to two bedroom fully self-contained units. Prices start from $140 per week to $220 per week plus utilities.
Craig said all applicants who would like to be a part of the Britannia Ridge community must complete an application form, providing five years’ residential history and three references.
“We have made a commitment to provide a quiet living environment, and welcome residents who respect their neighbours,” he said.
He said it was important that long-term residents understood the values of having caravan park rules and policies that provide an enjoyable lifestyle for everyone.
“We also recognise that a large number of residents may not have their own transport, so the caravan park provides a free shuttle bus service to Yarra Junction’s town centre daily, excluding weekends,” he added.
Prospective residents who are seeking the quality of life offered by Britannia Ridge Caravan Park are invited to meet with management. Make an appointment on 5967 1118 or check in at the on-site office at 160 Tarrango Road, Yarra Junction.
