A HEALESVILLE woman’s quick-pick has fast-tracked her and her husband to a more comfortable retirement.
The woman, who requested her name be withheld, won a first division windfall of $381,000 in the TattsLotto draw on Saturday 4 June.
She told Tatts representative Louise Azzopardi she had had a feeling for the past 12 months that she was in for a big win.
She said she would use the money to clear some debts and invest for her and her husband’s retirement. The woman was unaware of the win until Ms Azzopardi rang her.
“She was sceptical at first, thinking it was a joke, but was obviously delighted when it sunk in that it was genuine.”
The woman purchased her winning ticket from Graeme Williams at Sanctuary Lotto in The Walk at Healesville.
Mr Williams said it is his second first-division win in three years and added he was thrilled when he was told it was a local woman who had won.
He is now hoping it will be “three times lucky” for his agency, and for another local.
“Tatts have told us these things come in threes,” Mr Williams said.
“Let’s hope!”
Lotto good luck waits for another win
