WITH A fresh dumping of snow there’s no better reason to celebrate Christmas in July, and with a delicious festive feast on the menu, there’s every reason to celebrate at The International.
The Lilydale venue will feature special entertainment on Wednesday 20 July and a three-course Christmas menu for lunch and dinner during the whole week.
As well as the restaurant’s a la carte menu, the Christmas menu will include soup to start, a selection of roast pork, ham or turkey with roasted vegetables and cranberry sauce, and Christmas pudding and custard to finish.
The dining room will be festively decorated complete with Christmas tree, and Lindsay Warrick will perform morning melodies including a variety of Christmas themed songs during lunchtime on Wednesday 20 July.
The International is renowned for its friendly staff, great atmosphere and terrific food.
Venue manager Kim Carthy said The International serviced a wide area at the gateway to the Yarra Valley.
“Our continued support with both local sporting, Probus and other community groups ensure a varied clientele,” she said.
“We’re encouraging groups who book for 10 or more people to come along and enjoy a Christmas lunch and receive a free bottle of wine.”
The venue runs lunch and dinner in the bistro, as well as private functions, bar and gaming areas.
It’s open seven days a week from 9am to midnight, with free bingo on Fridays at 10am and morning melodies on the second Tuesday of each month.
The International is located at 471 Maroondah Highway, Lilydale. Bookings can be made on 9735 0555.
