Modern blend warms soul

FOR gastronomic delig-hts with a touch of art and ambiance, diners can look no further than Rennies at Acheron.
The rustic restaurant dating back to the 1850s has a modern feel and is complete with a magnificent, open-space garden, contemporary artwork on display and European influenced cuisine.
Priding itself on warming the “heart, eyes and soul”, artist in residence Marion Rennie gives guests an enriching experience when visiting Rennies.
“Think inner-city chic meets country hospitality and charm,” Ms Rennie said.
“We offer an inviting environment with a focus around the arts.”
Her artistic skills translate into a thought-out, well designed space and her artwork conveys Ms Rennie’s interpretations of the local area and the art is available for sale from $15 in original form or high-quality prints of any size.
Ms Rennie is sure to make the most of what’s at her doorstep, using the delectable fresh produce and high class wines available in the local area.
Acheron Valley Cathedral cherries, Dobson potatoes, Yarra Valley salmon, Blackmore waygu, Buxton smoked trout, Murrindindi olives and even produce from their own garden are sure to satisfy visitors’ taste buds.
Menu options range from $13-22 for wood-fired pizza and $28-40 for main meals and the restaurant also does wine evenings accompanied by a delectable three-course meal.
So whether it be a romantic night out with a loved one, a function or simply dinner with family, Rennies at Acheron will make for a delicious, enjoyable experience.
